James Pate
    Graveside services for James Edward Pate, 46, 223 Holly St., Caldwell, who died Saturday, March 26, at home, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    He was born Dec. 10, 1936, at Sprague, W.Va.  He was raised in West Virginia until the age of 11, when he moved to the Boise area with his parents.  He attended school in Boise and Grandview.  He joined the Navy in 1954 and served until 1957 when he was discharged.  After his discharge, he lived in Hagerman with his parents and married Charleen Thompson on Aug. 2, 1958 at Hagerman.  They lived at Hagerman and the surrounding area until moving to Marsing in 1973.  They moved to Caldwell in 1978, where they have lived since.  He was a truck driver in the valley for Kent Trucking and other firms.
    He is survived by his wife of Caldwell; two daughters, Darlene and Ginger, both of Caldwell; one brother, Jack Johnston of Boise; his stepfather, Howard Johnston of Bliss; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons.
