Graveside services for Joe
Olenik, Jr., 71, of Greenleaf, who died Tuesday, Nov. 10, at
the Caldwell hospital of natural causes, will be held at 1
p.m. Friday at the Parma Cemetery, Parma.
The Revs. Kenneth Pitts of the Greenleaf Friends Church and
Edwin Nichols of the Parma Church of the Nazarene will
officiate, under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel,
Caldwell.
Mr. Olenik was born July
1916, at Hardin, Mont., to Joseph and Victoria Norkin
Olenik. He was reared and educated in Hardin.
He married Wanda Rokowinski Oct. 2, 1950, at Hardin.
They farmed north of Hardin for several years until moving
in 1965 to Gooding, where they continued to farm. In
1970, they moved to Parma, where he farmed until his
retirement. They moved in 1986 to Greenleaf, where
they have since resided.
He is
survived by his wife of Greenleaf; a daughter, Susan Olenik
of Wilder; a son, Joseph Olenik of Adrian, Ore.; a sister,
Francis Herbel of Hardin; two brothers, Bill Olenik of
Hardin and Ed Olenik of California; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two
sisters and two brothers.

may be made to the Greenleaf Friends Church or the Parma
Church of the Nazarene, in care of the Dakan Funeral Chapel,
