Loren Mesler

    Services for Loren Floyd Mesler, 87, Nampa, who died Friday, Feb. 22, at a Nampa nursing home will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at the Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, by the Rev. Raymond Thompson of the United Methodist Church, Caldwell.  Arrangements are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Mr. Mesler, a long-time Boise Valley resident, was born March 7, 1897, in Verdon, Neb., to Joseph F. and Veta Mesler.  He came to Caldwell with his parents in 1902 and was reared and educated in the Caldwell-Nampa area.
    He married Gertrude Henson March 27, 1918, in Boise.  He farmed in the Nampa-Caldwell area and later became involved with real estate and farm auction sales in the Boise Valley for many years.  He has resided in Nampa since 1958.
    He was a member of the Meridian Masonic Lodge and the First Christian Church.
    He is survived by his wife: a daughter, Mrs. Helen Mesler McNeill, Nampa; a son, Dean Mesler, Spokane, Wash.: two granddaughters, Pamela Wessel, Idaho Falls and Linda Bell, Seattle, Wash.; two grandsons, Ron Mesler, Alabama, and Greg McNeil, Texas; two sisters, Alta Biel and Allie Lewis, both of Spokane, Wash.; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call at the chapel from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday.
