Lillian M.
Metcalf, 75, of Parma, died
Tuesday, April 19, 1994 at the
Caldwell
hospital of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday,
April 23, 1994, at Dakan Funeral Chapel,
Parma.
Interment will
follow at the Wilder Cemetery.
Mrs. Metcalf was
born January 11, 1919, at Chicago, Illinois,
to Hjalmar and Ida B. Dahlberg.
She was raised and
educated at Evans,
Missouri, and married Joe L. Metcalf on March
24, 1934, at Crane, Missouri. They
came to Ontario,
Oregon, in 1937 and have made their home in the
Wilder, Roswell, Big Bend and Parma area since that time.
Mrs. Metcalf
loved being outdoors. She enjoyed working in her garden,
rock hunting, camping and reading.
She loved to make
items for and participating in bazaars, particularly at
Christmas time.
She is survived by her husband, Joe of Parma; five
daughters, Helen Ratigan, Barbara Cleverly and Linda Wong,
all of Parma, Joyce Conley of Kimberly and Alice Darling of
Nampa; a son, Clifford Metcalf of Greenleaf; 31
grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 1
great-great-grandson. She
was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
