Melvin Mittelstedt
     Melvin Mittelstedt, 64, of Nampa, died Thursday, December 16, 1993, at a Boise hospital due to a heart attack.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 20, 1993, at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Pastor Bruce Snyder of Montana Avenue Baptist Church, Caldwell, and Bishop Rick Chandler of the Nampa 6th Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will co-officiate.  Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Melvin was born August 1929, at Drummond, Idaho.  He attended school in Rupert, Pocatello and Nampa.  He began his employment with the J.R. Simplot Co. at the age of 18 and retired after 43 years of service.
    Melvin married Beulah Williams on April 2, 1977 in Nampa, Idaho.  They enjoyed 17 years together.
    Melvin enjoyed camping in the mountains, sightseeing and all God's beautiful creation.
    He is survived by his wife Beulah Mittelstedt of Nampa; five stepchildren, Sharon Freeman of Boise, Wilma Bowling of Caldwell, Janice Hendren of Jay, Oklahoma, Jessie Parker of Wilder, Mark Williams of Caldwell; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ethel N. Lassiter of Solon, Ohio; two brothers, Donald Mittelstedt of Nampa and Wayne Mittelstedt of Winnemucca, Nevada; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Friends may call at the Dakan Funeral Chapel today, December 19, 1993, from 2 to 6 p.m.
    Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, care of Mrs. Glenn Weed (Charlotte), 1904 Blaine St., Caldwell, Idaho 83605.
