Marvin Northrop
    Marvin J. Northrop, 91, of Caldwell, died Wednesday, June 5, 1991, at a Caldwell nursing home.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 10, at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  The Rev. Bruce Snyder of the Montana Avenue Baptist Church, Caldwell, will officiate with the Elder Tex Poppino assisting.  Burial will follow at the Lower Boise Cemetery, near Parma.
    Mr. Northrup was born July 31, 1899, at Rockford, Minn., a son of John Henry and Mary Izador Fish Northrop.  He moved with his family to Idaho in 1900 and attended school at Notus and Caldwell.  He worked for the Caldwell News Tribune from 1926 until 1960, as a linotypist.  He married Geraldine Atteberry on Oct. 22, 1952, at Murphy, Idaho.
    He was a member of the Montana Avenue Baptist Church.
    Marvin is survived by his wife Geraldine of Caldwell; a daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Verdis Wilson of Homedale; a brother, Chester Northrop of Tacoma, Wash.; a sister Mildred Ivie of Kamiah, Idaho; two grandchildren, Teri Liebel of Newman Lake, Wash., and Tom Wilson of Homedale; three great-grandchildren, Scott and Melissa Wilson and Joseph Liebel; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and a grandson.
