Marion Mattingly

    Services for Marion L. Mattingly, 77, of Wilder, who died Sunday, June 5 at a Caldwell hospital of natural causes, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, by the Rev. Frank Prince of the Free Holiness Church, Wilder, and the Rev. Ramero Reyes of the Iglesia Evangelica Church of Wilder.
    Interment will follow at Wilder Cemetery.
    He was born Aug. 24, 1905, at Purdy, Mo., the son of Charley and Bertha Mattingly.  He was reared and educated at Barry County, Missouri.  He married Mamie M. Price on Dec. 17, 1923, at Butterfield, Mo.  They moved to Wilder in September of 1936, where they have since made their home.
    He worked for the Boise Proiect Board of Control at Wilder until he retired in 1970.  He was a member of the Free Holiness Church, Wilder, which he helped to found in 1939.  For the past several years he had served as board member and church treasurer.  He was a member of the national 1020 C.B. Club of Ontario.
    He is survived by his wife of Wilder, two daughters, Bessie Hibbard of Wilder and Edith Lyle of Roseburg, Ore.; two sons, Kenneth of Wilbur, Ore., and Lawrence of Southerlin, Ore.; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by one sister, Iva Sitts.
    Memorials may be made to the Free Holiness Church, Wilder. Friends may call at the chapel in Caldwell from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
