Paul J. Parsons, 80, of Boise, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 1995,
at the Boise First Church of the Nazarene, 1200 N. Liberty
Rd., Boise, Idaho. The Revs. Don Peterman and Jerry
Cordell of the church will officiate. Burial will
follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Nampa, Idaho.
Arrangements are under the direction of Alden-Waggoner
Paul was born March 10, 1915,
at Nampa, Idaho, a son of W. D. and Jennie M. Parsons.
He attended the Nazarene Grammar, High School, and Northwest
Nazarene College. He married Margaret G. Tuning on
Sept. 15, 1940, at Caldwell, Idaho. He was a member of
Boise First Church of the Nazarene, the Adults in Action
Group, served previously on the church board, was an usher,
helped with the boys' junior department and various building
He was employed by A. P.
Schmidt, a well driller, during his college years. In
941 he and his wife moved to Hines, Oregon, where he worked
for Edward Hines Lumber Company, returning to Boise in 1945
where he was employed with Idaho Power Company. He
retired in 1980 after 35 years of service.
Paul enjoyed travel, photography, and music, playing the
piano and organ. He also collected and repaired
antique clocks and watches. He was a loving and gentle
husband, father, foster father, grandfather and foster
grandfather. He will be grreatly missed by his family.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Boise; a daughter
and son-in-law, Joann and Tim Kinter of Boise; a son and
daughter-in-law, Raymond and patty Parsons of Boise; a
foster son, Don Rittenbach of Kalama, Washington; two
granddaughters, Karyn Hoyt of Daly City, California, and
Kellee Parsons of Boise; one grandson, Aaron Parsons of
Boise; one great-granddaughter, Adia Hoyt Reid of Daly City,
California; two foster granddaughters, Ann and Kay
Rittenbach of Kalama, Washington, and a foster grandson,
Dale Rittnebach also of Kalama, Washington; two brothers,
Dan Parsons of Inverness, Florida, and Ralph Parsons of
Nampa, Idaho; one sister, Margaret Koolhof of Nampa, Idaho,
and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley Ann Rittenbach.

Casket will be
closed at service. Friends may view at Alden-Waggoner
today, Dec. 22, until 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.
