Phyllis M. Pace, 72, of Nampa, went home to Heaven on June
8, 1995. She died peacefully at her home following an
extended illness. Funeral services will be conducted
at 2 p.m. Monday, June 12, 1995, at the Bethel Church of the
Nazarene, 3001 12th. Ave. Rd. Pastor Roy Litsey will
officiate. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest
Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Services are under the
direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Phyllis M. Pace was born on Nov. 12, 1922 in La Palma, AZ,
the daughter of Herman A. and Laura J. Wolf. Phyllis
was born and married in the same home. She was reared
and educated in Arizona and married Harold L. Pace on Feb.
13, 1942. Following their marriage they made their
home in Arizona until moving to Nampa in 1962. Phyllis
worked in banking for 18 years in Arizona and Idaho.
In 1971 she went to work at NNC where she was the student
account supervisor until her retirement in 1986.
Phyllis gave her heart to the Lord at an early age and was a
faithful Christian all of her life. She was a lifetime
member of the Church of the Nazarene. Phyllis served
faithfully as church treasurer in two different churches for
a number of years. She was currently a member of the
Bethel Church of the Nazarene.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Harold L. Pace, Nampa; 4
daughters, Ladonna L. and her husband, Rev. Ray Doane, Long
Beach, CA, LaVaughn and her husband, Jim Pfost, Sr., Nampa,
LaVerne R. Bufford, Nampa, and Lenore A. and her husband,
Rev. Wes Sullivan, Gig Harbor, WA; 2 brothers, Rev. Howard
R. Wolf, Banning, CA, and James M. Wolf, Walnut Creek, CA; 2
sisters, Ada Lou Ford, San Marcos, CA, and Elizabeth Jane
Pace, Nampa; 9 grandchildren, Dion Doane, Darla Curtis, Jim
Pfost, Jr., Andy Pfost, Melissa Crow, Bernard Bufford, Ill,
Brian Bufford, Michelle Bogart and Erin Sullivan; 10
great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters,
Guelma Carter and Irma Belle Wolf.
Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel on Saturday
from 2 to 9 p.m., on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday
from 9 a.m. to noon.
