Rosa Ann Nowlin
   
CALDWELL Services for Mrs. Rosa Ann Nowlin, 80, Caldwell, who died Monday in a local hospital after an illness, will be conducted at Flahiff Chapel at 2 p.m Thursday by the Rev. J. S. Tarter of Golden Gate Baptist Church in Wilder.  Interment will be at Wilder.
    Mrs. Nowlin was born Aug. 9, 1888, in Rome, Douglas County, Mo., and was reared there.  She was married April 12, 1907, in Douglas County to William F. Johnson, and they farmed there.  Mr. Johnson died in 1923.  She was married Feb. 9, 1926, in Gleneo, Okla., to John Nowlin. He died in 1935.  She moved from Missouri to Parma in 1943, to Wilder in 1953, and came to Caldwell several years later.
    She was a member of the Baptist Church.
    Surviving are a son, Thurman Johnson, Zillah, Wash.; four daughters, Mrs. Verna Ellison and Mrs. Valta Hamilton, both of Caldwell, Mrs. Fay Maggard, Nyssa, and Mrs. Mable Mahan, Ontario; a brother, Harley Morris, Missoula, Mont.; two sisters, Mrs. Ressie Hunt, Ava, Mo., and Mrs. Jesse Cartwright, Springfield, Mo.; a step-son, Fred Nowlin, Wilder; a step-daughter, Mrs. Opal Brown, Wilder; 22 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a step-daughter.
