Services for Roy C.
Nickens, 84, of Parma, who died Sunday, Nov. 15, at a
Caldwell nursing home of natural causes, will be held at 2
p.m. Wednesday at the Parma Revival Center, Parma.
The Revs. Carl Lassiter of the Gospel Lighthouse Church,
Nyssa, Ore., and Frank Prince of the Free Holiness Church,
Wilder, will officiate. Burial will follow at the
Roswell Cemetery, under the direction of Dakan Funeral
Mr. Nickens was
born Nov. 25, 1902, to John and Ella Kilgore Nickens at St.
Paul, Ark., where he was reared and educated.
As a young man he moved to Oklahoma. He married
Bernadine Kennedy Jan. 20, 1928, at Muskogee, Okla. In
1929 they came to Idaho, settling in Parma, where they had
Mr. Nickens was a
minister, preaching in several areas in-cluding Fargo.

He also operated fruit ranches in the Parma and Arena Valley
He is survived by his wife of
Parma; a son, Max G. Nickens of Buena Park, Calif.; four
brothers, the Rev. Paul Nickens of Parma, Otto Nickens of
Denton, Neb., Roscoe Nickens of Fayetteville, Ark., and Lon
Nickens of Claremore, Okla.; two sisters, Geraldine Andrews
of Parma and Marjorie Fretwell Ragains of Parma; five
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at the Parma Dakan Funeral Chapel today
from 5 to 7 p.m.
