Richard W. "Dick"
Mesenbrink, 76, of
Nampa, died Monday, Oct. 5, at his
home of natural causes. At
his request, there will be no services.
Mr. Mesenbrink, a
retired painter, was born Oct. 31, 1910, at
Crawford County, Iowa,
where he was reared and educated, graduating from high
school in 1928. He
later moved to Bonners Ferry.
He married Marian
LaFountain Feb. 1, 1936, at Bonners Ferry.
They made their home
at Bonners Ferry where he was self employed as a painter.
In 1977, they moved
to Boise, and to
Nampa in 1979, where they had since
made their home.
While living at Bonners Ferry, he was an active
member of the Lions Club; he also was a member of the Nampa
Elks Lodge No. 1389.
He is survived by his wife of Nampa; four daughters
and two sons-in-law, Donna K. and Jerry Moorhead of Nampa,
Nancy Lee Plumlee of Vancouver, Wash., Lynne Derr of Walnut
Creek, Calif., and Jeanne and Jim Littleton of Spokane,
Wash.; a son and daughter-in-law, James W. and Bernice
Mesenbrink of Nampa; three sisters, Ina May of Los Angeles,
and Arlean Groth and Leone Secor, both of Guerneville,
Calif.; a brother, Leo Mesenbrink of Winnemucca, Nev.; 15
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded
in death by a son, Richard W. Mesenbrink in November 1975;
and a sister Neva.
