Memorial services
for Shannon Mempa, 18, of
Dillon, Mont.,
and formerly of
Nampa, who died Saturday, April 4,
from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, were held
Tuesday at St. Rose's Catholic Church, Dillon.
Graveside
services will be held in Nampa at a later time.
Arrangements are
under the direction of Brundage Funeral Home, Dillon.
Mr. Mempa was
born Oct. 8, 1968, in Poison,
Mont.
He grew up in Nampa, moving to Dillon in 1983.
He was a member
of the National Guard. His
hobbies included art, hunting, fishing and working on cars.
He enjoyed music and
helping on various ranches at branding time.
He is survived by
his mother, Linda Mempa of Dillon; a sister, Lori Barrett of
Grant,
Mont.; maternal grandmother Lenita Smith of Stevensville,
Mont.; an uncle, Larry Smith of
Poison; two nephews and numerous great-uncles, aunts and
cousins.
He
was preceded in death in 1981 by his maternal grandfather,
Ralph Smith of
Nampa.
Memorials may be
made for a college scholarship fund, in lieu of flowers, in
care of Brundage Funeral Home, 300 S. Atlantic, Dillon.
Mont. 59725; or the Beaverhead County High School,
Dillon.
