Sheryl Miles

    Services for Sheryl Mae Miles, 52, of Nampa, who died Monday, Nov. 11, at the Nampa hospital will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Nampa Stake Center, 1500 Smith Ave. Ext., with Roger Kotter, bishop of the Nampa Eighth Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, officiating.  Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Services and interment are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Mrs. Miles was born on March 31, 1933, at Tremonton, Utah, to Lorenzo Bard and Velna May Thompson Bailey.  At a young age she moved with her family to north Pocatello, where she was reared and attended schools.  She married Wilford “Fred" Miles on Dec. 15, 1949, at Idaho Falls LDS Temple.  They lived in Pocatello for several years.  They later moved to Nampa, where they made their home.  She has been the custodian at the Nampa Stake Center with her husband since May of 1983.
    She was a member of the Nampa Eighth Ward LDS Church where she has been very active in the Relief Society, Sunday school and various other church positions.
    She is survived by her husband of Nampa; one daughter, Kellie (Mrs. Mark) S. Jensen of Nyssa, Ore.; four brothers, DeWayne, Darius and Larren Bailey, all of Nampa, and Bardell Bailey of Tigard, Ore.; three sisters, Clelles (Mrs. David) Cotterell, Linda (Mrs. Larry) Smith and Jan (Mrs. Stan) Beus, all of Nampa; three granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her mother on Feb. 27, 1984, and by her father on March 22, 1984.
    Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m.; Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon; and Thursday at the Nampa Stake Center from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
    The family will greet friends at the chapel Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
