Graveside services for Thurman H. Mowery, 69, of Wilder, who
died Wednesday, January 8, 1992, at a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday,
January 13, 1992, at the Wilder Cemetery, Wilder, Idaho, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Mr. Mowery was
born February 21, 1922, at
Jay, Oklahoma, a son of Monroe and Dolly Hicks
Mowery. He lived in
Jay until he was 13 when he moved with his family to the
Wilder area. He
married Ardath Hensley on November 8, 1941, in
and the couple resided in Wilder.
He worked for many years as a carpenter and then as a
welder at the Circle J Trailer Co. for eight years, retiring
is survived by his wife of Wilder; three sons, Winford of
Lebanon, Or., Arlis of Wilder and Lowell in Arizona; four
daughters, Glenda Collins of Parma, Delena Vail of Nampa,
Susan Fernandez of Sweet Home, OR., and Virginia Trimble of
Salt Lake City, UT.; two brothers Barney Mowery of Bums,
OR., and Charles Mowery of Wilder; five sisters, Marie
Bishop and Doraleen Dill, both of Caldwell, Norma Howell of
Wilder, Edna Jones Of Twin Falls and Elva Hauntz of
Crescent, OR., 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in
death by his parents and a brother.
