Graveside funeral services for William R. "Pete" Nourse, 68,
Route 7, Box 376, Caldwell, who died Thursday in a Nampa
hospital will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Middleton
Cemetery by Dr. Charles A. Crane of the First Christian
Church, Caldwell, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral
He was born July 10,
1913, in Clint Texas, to Robert W. and Marie Stone Nourse.
He moved with his family to a ranch in Wyoming when he was
11. They moved to Datil, N.M., when he was 15.
He married Frances Anderson on May 29, 10935, in Los Lunas,
N.M. He was a mechanic and also worked on road
construction until 1941. They moved to California,
where he joined the Boilermakers Union. He worked on
Steel construction at various locations in eight Western
states. In 1956, they moved to the Caldwell area,
where they farmed and he also worked on construction.
He retired in 1979.
He is survived by
his wife of Caldwell; two sons, Robert E. of Middleton and
George W. of Caldwell; a brother, John of Datil, N.M., two
sisters, Catherine Mills of Sheridan, Wyo., and Elizabeth
Burris of Socorro, N.M.; five grandchildren; and numerous
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son,
Kenneth in 1974, and by a brother.
Friends may call at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, from 1
to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 130 p.m. Monday.
