Services for Charles Edward Plager,
62, of 3212 W. Iowa Ave., Nampa, who died Sunday, May 6, at
his home of natural causes, will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Pastor Doug Flowers of the Parma Missionary Baptist Church
will officiate. Private committal services will be at
the Parma Cemetery. Mr. Plager was born
May 12, 1921, at Parma, to John H. and Sarah A. Miller Plager.
He graduated from Parma High School in 1939. He farmed
near Parma until 1954, when he began working for Idaho Power.
He married Gladys Collins at Notus on Sept. 14, 1946. In 1959
they moved to Nampa where they had since resided. He was
employed as assistant manager of Producer's Supply Co-op in
Nampa and served on the credit committee of Producer's Supply
Co-op Credit Union for 22 years. He was a past master of
Nampa Masonic Lodge 29, AF & AM, serving as master of the
lodge in 1969 and in 1972. He was a
member of the Parma Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of Nampa; a daughter, Jeanette
Jones of Nampa; a son, Ken Plager of Nampa; his mother, Sarah
Plager of Parma; two sisters, Agnes Wood of Caldwell and
Lucille Kinnear of Yakima, Wash.; two granddaughters, Heather
Plager of Kina and Christina Jones of Nampa; two grandsons,
Charles Plager of Kuna and Richard Feiling of Nampa.
Memorials may be made to the Parma Missionary Baptist Church
or to the Hospice Program at Mercy Medical Center, Nampa.
Friends may call at the chapel in Caldwell today from 5 to 9
