Carmen Portillo

     Mass of Christian Burial for Carmen Espinoza Portillo, 64, of Caldwell, who died Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Nampa hospital, was conducted today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caldwell, with Father Raul Covarrubias celebrating.  Interment followed at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, under the direction of the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Mrs. Portillo was born Feb. 21, 1921, in Dallas, Texas, to Manuel and Concepcion Acosta Espinoza.  She was reared and educated in Texas and married Sixto Espinoza in 1934 in Mexico.  They lived in Texas before coming to Wilder and the Adrian area in 1959.  She married Guadalupe Portillo in 1978 in Nyssa, Ore., and the couple made their home in Caldwell.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caldwell.
    She is survived by her husband of Caldwell; six sons, Manuel, Jose, Enrique, Carlos and Jesus Espinoza, all of Caldwell, and Ricardo Espinoza of Mexico; three daughters, Juana Garcia and Martha Rojas, both of Caldwell, and Rosa Tapia of Bellingham, Wash.; five brothers and two sisters, all of Mexico; 35 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and a son.
