Edna Pitkin

     Services for Edna Josephine Pitkin, 91, 2008 Hird Ave., Caldwell, who died Thursday, Nov. 17 at a Caldwell nursing home, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Caldwell Second Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, by Bishop Richard Priest.
    Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    She was born Feb. 9, 1892 at Taylorsville, Utah, to John B. and MaryAnn Bauman Mauchley.  She moved with her family to Millville, Utah, in 1901.  She later met Raymond Pitkin and they were married on April 21, 1915 in the Logan LDS Temple at Logan, Utah.
    In 1917, they moved to Idaho and she had lived in the Caldwell area for more than 35 years.  She cooked at the Lakeview Rural School for several years and had done a great deal of babysitting for many area residents for many years.  She was also active in the LDS Church.
    She is survived by two sisters, Dora Johnson, Hyrum, Utah, and Myrtle Toolson, Sacramento, Calif., and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in November of 1960, two brothers and two sisters.
    Friends may call at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, Monday from 4 until 9 p.m. and on Tuesday at the Caldwell LDS Second Ward Relief Society Room from 1 until 1:45 p.m.
