CALDWELL — Funeral services for
Elizabeth J. Pruitt, 86, Box 56, Greenleaf, who died Friday in
a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday at
the Greenleaf Friends Church, by Pastor Paul Goins, under the
direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 14, 1891, at Zearing, Iowa. She
married Edward H. Pruitt Aug. 16, 1913 at Zearing. They
moved to Greenleaf in Sept. 1913. At two periods in her
life, they homesteaded west of Homedale. She was active
through the years in her church and various areas of service.
Her husband preceded her in death Nov. 16, 1958.
She is survived by two sons, E. David, Portland, Ore., and
Arthur J. Pruitt, Dundee, Ore.; two daughters, Estella Fuller,
Greenleaf, and Mary Davidson, Kellogg: two sisters, Alice E.
Brierley, Zearing, and Sarah Comfort, Clemons, Iowa: a
brother, Ambrose Johnston, Zearing; 17 grandchildren and 27
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a
daughter, Annie, a grandson, Stephen, and two brothers. |
