Graveside services for Eugene Maurice
"Pete" Pollet, 57, of Boise, and formerly of Anchorage,
Alaska, who died Saturday, Sept. 21, in a Boise hospital of
natural causes, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the
Middleton Cemetery. The Rev. Dave Lewis of the Middleton
First Conservative Baptist Church will officiate, under the
direction of Summers Funeral Home of Boise.
Mr. Pollet, a retired civil engineer, was born March 4, 1928
in Middleton. He met Ethel LaRocque in Challis and they
were married Sept. 5. 1930. He served in the Korean
Conflict from September of 1950 to May of 1952. They
moved to Anchorage in September of 1962 where he worked for
the state of Alaska Department of Transportation Aviation
Design until his retirement in October of 1980.
He was a member of Elks Lodge No. 1448. Caldwell: and Moose
Lodge No. 1534 in Anchorage. He is
survived by his wife, of Anchorage; three daughters, Ms.
Evelyn Moe and Mrs. Tracey Hand, both of Anchorage, and Ms.
Patty Cole of Houston, Texas; a brother. Vance Pollet of
Boise; a sister, Nadine Johnson of Clarkston, Wash.; a twin
sister, Maxine Pounds of San Clemente, Calif.; and four
grandchildren, Kelli and Wendy Moe, and Jamie and Lindsey
Cole. Memorials may be made to "Make a
Wish" program for children with terminal diseases, which helps
to send them to a place of their dreams, 4715 Caroline,
Houston, Texas 77004. A luncheon will
be served following the services at the Elks Lodge, 1015 N.
Kimball, Caldwell. |
