Graveside services for Elmo Price,
88, of Homedale, who went to be with his Lord quietly and
quickly at his home Sunday, March 24, 1991, will be conducted
at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 29, at the Wilder Cemetery under
the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Friends
Community Church, Homedale, with the Revs. Clare Wilcutt,
Nampa, and Kenneth Pitts, Homedale, officiating.
Mr. Price was born July 25, 1902, at Pea Ridge, Ark., a son of
Colbert B. and Alice Lane Price. The family lived on a
farm in Arkansas until moving to Idaho in April 1937. He
married Crystell Broadhurst Feb. 27, 1926. Elmo worked
as a sawyer in the forests near Cascade and McCall until they
couple moved to the Central Cove area in 1940 where he farmed
until 1949. He served as a ditch rider in the Central
Cove area for the Boise Project Board of Control for 19 years,
retiring in 1967 and the couple moved to Homedale.
He and his wife, Crystell, had just recently celebrated their
65th wedding anniversary. Elmo was respected and loved
by all who knew him. His children and grandchildren
loved him dearly and the love was mutual. Elmo
will be greatly missed by his family and a host of friends.
He is survived by his wife,. Crystell of Homedale; a son, and
daughter-in-law, Melbourne and Alice Price; a daughter and
son-in-law, Florence and Quentin Price Nordyke; six
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alma
Price Holterman. He was preceded in
death by his parents; a son, Nelson Arthur; a
great-grandchild; five brothers; and two sisters.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Friends Community
Church or the Senior Citizens, both of Homedale.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10
a.m. to 1 p.m. at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale. |
