Fern Edna Powers, 67, of Caldwell,
died Wednesday, September 30, 1992, at her home.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday,
October 2, 1992, at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Pastor Norman Rutzen of the Valley United Pentecostal Church,
Caldwell, will officiate, under the direction of Dakan Funeral
Chapel, Caldwell. A private family viewing will precede
the services. Family and friends are asked to Rather at
the cemetery. Mrs. Powers was born
February 9, 1924, at Genoa, Nebraska, the daughter of Emil E.
and Irena E. Morris Yelm. She married Lester
Eugene Powers on May 26, 1943, at Nebraska.
Together they moved to Idaho in 1952 and settled in Caldwell
where she had since resided. She enjoyed many
things including flowers and birds. She was very devoted
to her husband of 49 years, Lester, and her children and
grandchildren. They love her dearly and will miss her
very much. She is survived by her
husband, Lester of Caldwell; 6 daughters, Charlene Verlander
and Marlene Nelson of Caldwell, Louise Miller of Deer Park,
WA., June Spencer of Meridian, Gayla Tyson of Caldwell, Karla
Elliott of Nampa; a son, Robert Powers of Caldwell; 12
grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Bob, Dick
and Eldon Yelm of Caldwell; 2 sisters, Virginia Chapman of New
Plymouth, and Eve Rowley of Adrian, OR.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. |
