Services
for Frank Powell, 91, Homedale, who died Thursday, Sept. 29 at
a Homedale nursing home, will be conducted at 2 p.m, Tuesday
at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Homedale by the Rev. Glenn Hauser
of Boise.
Entombment will follow at the
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
He was born March 12, 1892, at Yadkinsville, N. C., where he
was reared and educated. He married Florence Tucker Jan.
17, 1933, in Baltimore, Md. They moved to a farm on
Cloverdale Road near Boise in 1933. They farmed there
until 1961, when he retired.
He sold the
farm in 10-acre tracts, and sold the last tract in 1972, and
they moved to Meridian. They moved to Homedale in 1975,
where they have since resided.
He is
survived by his wife of Homedale; one son, Junior, of
Yadkinville, N.C., one grandson, Robbie; one granddaughter,
Linda; five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by
two brothers and two sisters.
The
family wishes no memorials or flowers sent.
Friends may call at the chapel Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. and
Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. |
