George W. Pintler, 80, of Nam-pa,
died Monday, March 9, 1992, at a Nampa hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at
Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa. The Rev. John
Riley of Nampa, President-Emeritus of Northwest Nazarene
College, will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest
Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Mr. Pintler
was born Aug. 23, 1911, at Greeley, Colo., a son of George W.
Sr., and Hildagard Weber Pintler. At age six, he moved
with his family to Fairview, Mont., where he grew up on a farm
and attended school. He married Marybelle Maurer on
March 11, 1936, at Fairview and they made their home and
farmed in Montana until moving to Wilder, Idaho, in 1949.
They farmed at Wilder until moving to a farm in the Dry Lake
area south of Nampa where they continued farming. He
semi-retired in 1982 but still kept busy with farm errands.
George was a member of many farm organizations and, in his
retirement, was active in the Gem and Mineral Club and pursued
his favorite hobby, that of working with wood.
He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather and
was highly regarded by his many friends.
Survivors include his wife, Marybelle, of Nampa; one daughter
and son-in-law, Sharon and Floyd Blaser of Eugene, Ore.; a son
and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Carol Pintler of Nampa; three
sisters, Mildred Wolters of Victor, Mont., Lucille Carlson of
Lewiston, Idaho, and Joan Jascot of Mont., Lucille Carlson of
Lewiston, Idaho, and Joan Jascot of Sidney, Mont.; fifteen
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces
and nephews. He was preceded in death
by his parents and one sister, Margaret.
Memorials may be made to the Intensive Care Unit, c/o Mercy
Medical Center, 1512 12th Avenue Road, Nampa, 83686, or
flowers may be sent. Friends may call
until 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until service time on
Thursday at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa. |
