Howard "Dee" Pfeiffer, 47, of Boise died
Wednesday, July 12, 1995, of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on July 15, 1995, at
Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel. Dee
was born in Nampa on March 18, 1948. He attended Nampa
High School and graduated in 1966. After serving in the
U.S. Air Force, he attended Boise State University, where he
received his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. He
went to work for law enforcement with Ada County where he was
a Patrolman, Detective, Investigator for the Prosecutor's
Office and at the time of his death he was the Undersheriff.
Dee received his Master's Degree in Public Administration from
BSU where he also taught classes in Criminology.
Everyone who knew Dee was touched by his concern for people.
He balanced the requirements of being a competent law
enforcement officer with the empathy and understanding for
people of all walks of life. Dee was committed to his
work and in helping anyone in need. His greatest love
was his family. He loved to spend his spare time
entertaining family and friends at his home. He will be
greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his family and
loving daughters. Dad,
We know we put you through some hard times, but your strength,
patience and love always prevailed and
helped to pull everything together.
We feel that we were especially close to
you toward the end and for this we are very
grateful. We love and will miss you Dad, but knowing you
are in the presence of the Ultimate is comforting and we
look forward to sharing this with you someday.

preceded in death by his father, William H. Pfeiffer.
Dee is survived by his wife, Jacquie Elcox-Pfeiffer; daughter,
Lisa Farro, Jamie and Jill Pfeiffer; stepdaughter, Christie
Cash; granddaughter, Marina Farro; mother, Mildred J. Pfeiffer
of King City, OR; and a sister, Linda L. Miner of Anchorage,
Alaska. Memorials may be sent to the

Boise ID 83701. Viewing hours will be
from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel.
The family will be present to greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. |
