Irvin 'Buck' Phariss

     Irvin E. "Buck" Phariss, 85, of Parma, died Wednesday, September 29, 1993, due to injuries sustained in a train/automobile accident near Parma.  Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 1993, at the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Parma.  Dr. Ralph Marshall of Caldwell will officiate.  A private family graveside service at the Lower Boise Cemetery, Parma, will precede the memorial service.  Arrangements are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell-Parma.
    Irvin was born June 21, 1908, at Stecker, Oklahoma, the son of Walter and Grace Phariss.  He married Marion Smalley January 12, 1935, in San Bernardino, CA.  He worked as a cement finisher until he moved to Parma in 1962.  He was an active rancher until his retirement in 1976.
    He was actively involved in the Blazer Horse Association and the S.A. R.
    He is survived by a sister, Irene Nelson of Garden Grove, CA; a daughter, Edna Bisby of Parma; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Judie Phariss of Caldwell; a granddaughter, Michelle Phariss of Pocatello; a grandson and his wife, Todd and Margo Phariss of Moscow; and numerous other relatives.
    He will be missed by many people who loved him and by the people whose lives he touched.
    The family suggests memorials be made to the Blind National Federation of Idaho, 1301 S. Capital Blvd., Boise, ID 83702; the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, 305 E. Bates, Parma, ID 83660; or your favorite charity.
