NAMPA — Stefan Pollard, 14- year-old
son of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Pollard of Lakeshore Drive,
Nampa, died as the result of drowning Thursday afternoon at
the Starkey Swimming Pool at Council, Idaho. He was on
an outing with the Boy Scouts of America Troop from the Church
of the Brethren at the time. The youth
was born April 19, 1955, at Dieburg, Germany, and prior to
coming to Nampa in September of 1968, he had made his home in
California, at Boise, and in Washington State.
He had been an eighth grader at West Junior High School at
Nampa. He was a member of the Nampa Church of the
Brethren Boy Scout Troop, and was a member of the Nampa Church
of the Brethren. He is survived by his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. James W. Pollard of Nampa; one sister,
Mrs. Jim (Reita Lynne) Poulton of Sacramento, Calif.; one
brother, Dewey Williams, serving with the U. S. Navy in Viet
Nam; his grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Edgecomb of Nampa; by
numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and by five nieces and
one nephew. Funeral services will be
conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with
the Rev. George Snavely and the Rev. M. S. Frantz, of the
Nampa Church of the Brethren, officiating. Interment
will follow in the Garden of Communion at Hillcrest Memorial
Gardens on Karcher Road. |
