Graveside services for Valla
Phillips, 89, of Fort Collins, Colo., and formerly of
Homedale, who died at a Fort Collins nursing home will be held
at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
The Rev. Ray Thompson of the United Methodist Church,
Caldwell, will officiate, with local arrangements made by
Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale.
Mrs.
Phillips was born May 7, 1897, at Attica, Iowa. She was
reared and educated in Iowa and Colorado.
She married Francis A. Richardson in 1912 in Iowa. Mr.
Richardson died in 1934.
She married
John "Jack" A. Phillips in 1937 in Colorado. They moved
to the Homedale area in 1945. Mr. Phillips died in
February of 1974. She moved to Fort Collins in 1982.
She is survived by a daughter, Crystal Grady of San Diego,
Calif: 16 grandchildren; numerous great- and
great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a
son, a daughter, a brother and two great-grandchildren.
