Anna Riecker

Anna Maria Riecker, 91, of Nampa, died on Saturday, Feb. 17, 1996, at her home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 1996, at the Nampa 10th Ward, L.D.S. Church, 1809 Deer Flat Rd.  Bishop Monte Schlerf will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.  Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Anna Maria Riecker was born on Jan. 18, 1905, the daughter of Johannes and Anna Maria Hoerger in Goeppingen, Germany.  She was reared and educated in Germany.  She married Eugene Riecker in 1934 in Germany.  In 1951 they moved to Nampa where they made their home.  Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.  Eugene and Anna Maria worked as custodians at Home Federal.  Eugene preceded her in death in 1967.  Anna was an active member of the LDS Church.
    Anna Maria is survived by a sister, Else Kloepfer, Nampa; a stepdaughter, Margaret Higley, St. George, UT; a sister-in-law, Martha Hoerger in Germany; 3 nephews, Hank Kloepfer, Nampa, and Gehard and Martin Hoerger in Germany.
    She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister.
   Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
    The family will greet friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
