Cloyd L. Rhoe, 72, of Ca1dwell, died Wednesday, Aug. 8,
1990, at the Nampa hospital of natural causes. Funeral
services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the
Caldwell Friends Church. Pastors Steve Fine and Calvin
Wilkins will officiate. Interment will follow at the
Wilder Cemetery under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel,
Mr. Rhoe was born Oct. 8,
1917, at Sugar City, Colo., to Harris and Nettie Long Rhoe.
His family homesteaded in Colorado before coming to Idaho in
the 1920s. Mr. Rhoe was raised in Colorado, Kansas and
California. He had been a dairy farmer since the age
of 18. In 1943 he came to Homedale. He married
Edna Newland, May 2, 1948, in Caldwell. In 1963 they
moved to Coquille, Ore., and in 1965 to Tillamook, Ore.
They returned to the Caldwell/Homedale area in 1976 where
they had since resided and operated a dairy farm. Mr.
Rhoe was a licensed realtor and had been associated with
Middleton Realty for several years.
He was a member of the Caldwell Friends Church and enjoyed
singing in the church.
He is survived
by his wife, Edna of Caldwell; a sister, Emma Stockman of
Caldwell; a brother, Leon Rhoe of Nampa and numerous nieces

to 8 p.m. today at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mr. Rhoe's family suggests memorials be made to the Caldwell
Friends Church Camp Scholarship Fund or to the Greenleaf
