Cryptside services for Clarence Ralph Reid, 77, of Boise, formerly of Caldwell, who died Wednesday, Aug. 28, at home, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Building of Reverence in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.  The Rev. Kurt J. Kremlick Jr. of the Southminster United Presbyterian Church, Boise, will officiate under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
He was born Aug. 15, 1908, in Sparta, Ill., to William C. and Ida J. Dickey Reid.  He was reared and educated in Sparta.  He married Geneva Maude McMasters on Dec. 31, 1942, in Randolf County, Ill. They moved to Caldwell in the mid 1940s where they both taught school.  He later was principal at Van Buren School, Caldwell, until his retirement in 1970.  After his retirement, the couple moved to Arizona for a short time and then back to Illinois.  In 1973 they moved to Boise where he had since resided.  His wife died Aug. 16.  He was a member of the Southminster United Presbyterian Church, Boise.
He is survived by a sister, Neva Hurley, of Adel, Iowa. He was preceded in death by two brothers.  The family suggests that memorials be made to the Southminster United Presbyterian Church. Boise, in care of Dakan Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 1386, Caldwell, 83606.
