Clara Roberts

     Funeral services for Clara Emma Roberts, 86, of Caldwell, who died Saturday, Aug. 16, at her home of natural causes, were  held at 2 p.m. today at the Caldwell First Southern Baptist Church.
    Pastor Gail Graves officiated.  Private burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Mrs. Roberts was born March 1, 1900, at Elizabeth, Pa., to David and Rose Snyder Flagle.  She was reared and educated in Pennsylvania.
    She married Raymond S. Roberts June 16, 1916, in Wellsburg, W. Va.  They lived in Monongahala, Pa. until 1929.  They lived at Stuebenville, Ohio, for a year before moving to Youngstown, Ohio, where they lived for 30 years.  In 1960 they moved to California.  In 1967 they came to the Caldwell area where they had since resided.  Mr. Roberts died in May, 1969.
    She was a member of the Caldwell First Southern Baptist Church.
    She is survived by two sons, Raymond G. Roberts of Caldwell and Samuel Bruce Roberts of Salt Lake City; two daughters, Alma June Blank of Caldwell and Gilberta L. Roberts of California; a brother, Walter Flagle of Tempe. Ariz.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren: and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
    Memorials may be made to the First Southern Baptist Church.
