Florence Putnam

     Services for Florence E. Putnam. 89, 648 Carol St., Nampa, who died Tuesday. Jan. 3, at a Nampa hospital, will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Alsip Funeral Chapel.
    Fr. Merle S. Fisher, S.M. of St. Paul's Catholic Church, will officiate.  Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    Mrs. Putnam was born Dec. 4, 1894, at Holdrege. Neb. to Eugene and Ade Barnes.  At the age of 5 she came to Medina, Wash., near Seattle, with her parents in a covered wagon.  She was reared and educated in Medina.  She married Clyde E. Putnam March 10, 1920, at Medina.  They lived in Washington until 1936 when they moved to Caldwell, where they farmed in the Pleasant Ridge District.  They later moved to Middleton and then to New Plymouth where they continued farming for a number of years.  They then moved to Gridley, Calif., for three years and later returned to Idaho and farmed in the Sand Hollow District.  In 1967 they moved to Nampa.  He died Jan. 2, 1974, and she had resided in Nampa since.  She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
    She is survived by one son, Owen D. Putnam, Nampa: two daughters, Patsy Teter and Elsie Averett, both of Nampa; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.
