Lynn Reding

    Lynn Reding, 45, of Nampa, died Wednesday, June 26, 1996, at his home.
    Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 1, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, with the Rev. Father Alfred Puccinelli, S.M., presiding.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Lynn was born April 23, 1951, at Nampa, a son of Raymond and Arlene Flowers Reding.  He was raised and educated in Nampa, and went to St. Paul's School for eight years, graduating from Nampa High School in 1969.  He loved music and learned to play a guitar at a young age.  During high school he participated in Future Farmers of America, and had spent his life farming with his father and brothers.  Two years ago, Lynn and his son Shawn opened the Reding Detail shop.
    He loved the outdoors and couldn't wait to go elk hunting or go steelhead fishing.  He also liked to bowl and going to ball games.
    Lynn had many friends, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
    Lynn loved Jesus Christ with all his heart.  He knew God's saving grace and His forgiving power.  He was truly a man after the very heart of God.  He loved to praise Jesus, and now we can all sing with Lynn, "It's so good to be in the arms of my Lord."
    Lynn went home to his Father in Heaven on Wednesday, June 26, 1996.
    Lynn married Cathy Hays on June 8, 1991, at Nampa.
    Survivors include his wife, Cathy; a son, Shawn Reding and his wife, Cassie; his parents, Raymond and Arlene Reding; three brothers, Jerry Reding and his wife, Jane, John Reding and his wife, Allison, and Jeff Reding; four sisters, Darlene Cross and her husband, Len, Mary Caywood and her husband, Bruce, Sue Reding, and Angie Thueson and her husband, Lamond; 24 nieces and nephews; one stepgrandchild, and Lynn was expecting to have his first grandchild in November.  He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents.
    Viewing will be held today from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m. at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
