Mary Reed

     Funeral services for Mary Lucille Reed, 63, of Nampa, who died Monday, Aug. 4, at home, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Nampa College Church of the Nazarene.
    The Rev. Duane Yoesel, pastor of the church, will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, under direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Mrs. Reed was born Sept. 11, 1922, at Kirk, Colo., to Robert E. and Marguerite Smith Manley.  She was reared and educated in western Colorado, where her father was a Nazarene pastor.
    While in Nampa, she started housekeeping and child care.
    She married Elvie J. Reed July 18, 1950, at Olympia, Wash.  He was killed in action during the Korean Conflict.  She then returned to Nampa, where she had since resided.
    She was an active member of College Church of the Nazarene.
    She is survived by her mother, Marguerite Manley of Nampa; three brothers, Robert W. Manley of Nampa, Edward L. and William D. Manley, both of Eugene, Ore.; four sisters, Earlene Dunn of Olympia, Wash., Doris Wolfstone of Seattle, Wilma Edgin of Monterey, Calif., and Ardis Quick of Edmonds, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers.
    Memorials may be made to the Hospice Program, Mercy Medical Center, 1512 12th Ave. Road, Nampa 83651; to College Church of the Nazarene, 504 E. Dewey Ave., Nampa 83651; or flowers may be sent.
    Friends may call today until 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Alsip chapel.
