Myrtle Whitney

     Nampa - Services for Mrs. Myrtle Whitney, 74, of 320 Fifteenth Ave N, who died Monday at a Nampa hospital will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Nampa by Rev. Leo W. Reed of the Nampa First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Garden of the Good Shepherd in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    Myrtle was born 6 Sept 1897 in Nampa and lived in this area much of her life. She was married to Charles D. Whitney, 25 Jun 1915 at Huntington, OR. The couple lived there until 1944 when they returned to this area and farmed near Melba. He died 8 Jun 1964. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

    Survivors include five sons, Frank E. Whitney of Nampa, LeRoy Whitney of North Bend, OR, Bill Whitney, Daniel Whitney, and Carl Whitney, all of Salem, OR; two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Eleanor) Avery of Elko, NV, and Mrs. J. H. (Edna) Ward of Nampa; and 11 grandchildren.
