Ruth Richesin

Services for Ruth Myrtle Journagan Richesin, 82, of Nampa, who died Wednesday, Dec. 12, in a Nampa hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    The Rev. Leo W. Reed, pastor of the Nampa First Baptist Church, will officiate.  Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Mrs. Richesin was born June 17, 1902, in Lead Hill, Ark., to Samuele and Eveline Journagan.  She was reared and educated in Arkansas.  She married Wayne Richesin on Sept. 10, 1922, in Arkansas.  They lived in Oklahoma and Missouri and moved to Idaho in 1935, settling in the Melba area.  They moved to Nampa in 1938.  In 1951 they opened the Snack Shop Restaurant which they owned and operated until 1963.  Mr. Richesin died July 27, 1968.
    She had been a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church.
    She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Neola) Strom of Boring, Ore., Mrs. Albert (Cloe) Schwandt of Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Murle (Evelyn) Romjue of Nampa, Peggy Lay of Moss Lake, Alberta, Canada, and Mrs. Eugene (Connie) Ertel of Sacramento, Calif.; two brothers, Enlow Journagan of Omaha, Ark., and Clifton Journagan of Aurora, Mo.; a sister, Opal Huiting of Knoxville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter, Kristian Schwandt, two infant grandchildren, and a son-in-law, James Lay.
    Memorials may be made to a favorite charity, or flowers may be sent.
