Rev. Robert Ridener

The Rev. Robert T. Ridener, 84, of Parma, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1991, at the Nampa hospital.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Nampa First Assembly of God, 304 16th Ave. N., Nampa.  The Rev. Duane Paher, pastor of the church will officiate.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    The Rev. Ridener was born Dec. 21, 1906, at Williamsburg, Ky.  At a young age he moved with his family to Collinsville, Okla., where he was reared and educated.  He entered the ministry in 1926 at Amarillo, Texas, with the Assemblies of God.  On Nov. 27, 1930, he married Florence Knox at Wheeler, Texas.  He was an evangelist in his early years and later pastored in the Southwest and the Northwest.  In 1948 he came to Nampa, retiring in 1979 and moving to Parma where he had since resided.
    Survivors include his wife, Florence of Parma; two sons, Bob R. Ridener and his wife, Judith, of Sandusky, Ohio, and Donald B. Ridener and his wife, Laurel, of Payette; a daughter, Jo R. Tidd of Boise; a sister, Almeda Benson of Kingsley, Texas; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
