Toreaf Anderson

     Wilder - Services for Toraef L. (Slim) Anderson, 68, of Route 1, Wilder, who died in a Caldwell nursing home, will be conducted at the Dakan Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday by Pastor Victor Schulze of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church of Homedale. Interment will be at Hillcrest on Karcher Road.
    Mr. Anderson was born 29 Oct 1903 in Letcher, S.D., and was reared in Linan County, S. D. He lived there until moving to Marsing in 1935. He served with the Army during World War II in the African campaign, and was discharged in May 1943. He married Emma Rhoe 17 Sept 1944 in Parma and they lived in the Homedale-Marsing area. He worked for J.R. Simplot in Caldwell from 1943 until 1968, when he retired, and he was plant superintendent on the swing shift from 1953 until 1968.
    He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church of Homedale. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Anderson are two daughters, Mrs. Gale E. Ratcliff Jr., of New Meadows and Mrs. Joyce V. Burdine of Homedale; a sister, Mrs. Alma Muldoon of Caldwell, and seven grandchildren.
