Verdon A. Roberts

     Funeral services for Verdon Allen Roberts, 16, of 219 South State Street, Nampa, who died Thursday in Nampa, will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Nampa 4th Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 143 Central Canyon Street, with Bishop Robert W. Hughes, bishop of the ward, officiating.  Interment will follow in the Lower Boise Cemetery near Parma.  Services and interment are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel.
    He was born on May 23, 1966, in Mountain Home.  At the age of 4 he moved to Springfield, Ore., with his parents where he started his schooling.  They later moved to Caldwell and in 1978 moved to Vancouver, Wash.  In October of 1980 they moved to Nampa where he was currently a junior at Nampa High School.  At the time of his death he was a carrier for the Idaho Statesman and also worked for Kings Variety Store in Nampa.  He was a member of the Nampa 4th Ward LDS Church.
    He is survived by his parents Larry and Marilyn Roberts, Nampa; his mother, Mrs. Rita Wagner, Coos Bay, Ore.; one brother, Norwood A. Roberts, Mountain Home; three sisters, Patricia A. Roberts, Coos Bay, Ore., Carissa A. Roberts and Tammy Lynn Roberts, both of Nampa; one step-brother, Greg Whitsitt, Nampa; one step-sister, Vicky Marz, Meridian; his paternal grandparents, Norwood and Betty Roberts, Caldwell, his maternal grandparents, Alvin and Theodosia Wagner, Creswell, Ore; his great-grandfather, Verden Rose, Caldwell.  He was preceded in death by one brother and his great-grandmother.
