Dr. Charles A. Ross

     Rosary devotions for Dr. Charles A. Ross, 70, of Melba Route 1, who died Saturday, April 28, in his home, will be recited at 8 p.m. tonight in the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Josephís Catholic Church in Melba Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Merle J. Fisher, S.M., of St. Paulís Catholic Church as celebrant.  Interment will follow in the Melba Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion Divin-Slonecker Post 126 of Melba.
    Dr. Ross was born April 21, 1914, in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was reared and educated.  He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Dental School.  He married  Eunice M. Martin Sept. 1, 1950, in Sacramento, Calif.  He served as an oral surgeon in the U.S. Army for 25 years, retiring as a lieutenant colonel Nov. 1, 1973.
    Following his retirement they moved to Melba where they had since made their home.  He was a member of the St. Josephís Catholic Church in Melba, the Retired Officers Group of the U.S. Army and the American Legion Divin-Slonecker Post 126 of Melba.
    He is survived by his wife of Melba; one son, Charles W. Ross, Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Mrs. Dennis ( Patricia Charlene) Bergvall, Walla Walla, Wash., and Charlotte Roberta Wynia, Adrian, Ore,; his mother, Mrs. Laura Ross, Miami, Fla.; two sisters, Marie King, Miami, Fla., and Edith Dodd, Satellite, Fla., and three grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Ross.
    Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to noon.
    Memorials may be made to the Mercy Medical Center Hospice Program, 1512 12th Ave. Road, Nampa, 83651.
