Frank Wilkins, 23 year old Marsing resident was reported today
to have drowned Tuesday afternoon about 2:30 o'clock while
swimming in a diversion ditch near Marsing. He was found
below the Marsing school by a group of small boys.
Artificial respiration did not revive him. Dr. Joe
Saltzer of Homedale, who was called on the case, stated today.
Wilkins is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David E. Wilkins of
Funeral services will be
held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Peckham Funeral chapel here with
Rev. Paul Wooster of the Marsing Nazarene church in charge.
Burial will be at Canyon Hill.
Surviving, besides his parents, are four sisters, Mrs. Louise
Brown of Marsing, Edna and Doris at Marsing and Olive Ulrich
at Wilder; and four brothers, Ernest, Gene, Harry and Kenneth.
