Amada Amparan

     Rosary for Amada G. "Chata" Amparan, 73, of Nampa, who died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1988, at the Nampa hospital, will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa led by the Rev. Jesus Camacho of St. Hubert's Catholic Church, Homedale.
     Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9 at St. Paul's Catholic Church.
     The Rev. Raul Covarrubius of St. Mary's Catholic Church Caldwell, will be the celebrant.  Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
     Mrs. Amparan was born June 3, 1914, at McAllen, Texas, a daughter of Jose L. and Angelita Garza Gonzales, and was reared and attended schools there.
     She married Ramon Amparan on June 25, 1944, at Pharr, Texas and they made their home in Pharr until moving to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1946.  They moved to Nampa in 1958 where she has since resided.
     She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Nampa, and was active in various parish organizations and events.
     Survivors include her husband, Ramon, of Nampa; a son, Juan Antonio Amparan, of Pendleton, Ore.; four daughters, Modesta Reyna, Maria Elena Marquez, Esther Lopez, all of Nampa, Diana Gonzales Amparan, of Boise; three brothers, Pedro G. Gonzales of Sterling, Ill., Estevan G. Gonzales of Nampa; a sister, Santos R. Flores of Pharr; 25 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
     Her parents, one daughter, a sister and brother preceded her in death.
     Memorials may be made to Mountain States Tumor Institute, Boise, or flowers may be sent.
     Friends may call at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa today from 1 to 9 p.m., Monday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
