Anna Choat, 80, of Nampa, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 1991, at her
daughter's home in Nampa. Graveside services will be
held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 1991, at Hillcrest Memorial
Gardens, Caldwell, by the Rev. Gail Graves of the First
Southern Baptist Church in Caldwell.
Mrs. Choat was born April 14, 1910, at Huntley,
Scotland, a daughter of Robert and jean Pirie Horne. She
came with her family to Louisiana in 1912 and later to
Nebraska where she graduated from high school.
She married Alvin Choat March 21, 1931, at Mankata,
Kan., and they made their home at Albion, Neb., where he
farmed. The moved to Nampa in 1961, where he was a ditch
rider for the Nampa-Meridian Irrigation District and also
worked for the Amalgamated Sugar Company during campaigns.
Mr Choat died Oct. 16, 1969.
Mrs. Choat was at home retired, but loved to travel
with her daughter and enjoyed her grandchildren and family
meals at her home.
Survivors include her duaghter, Mildred Remoir of
Nampa; a siter and brother-in-law, Margaret and Frank Yrigoyen
of Tracy, Calif.; six grandchildren, Kathy Potts of Boise,
Robert and Tina Remior and Ken Remior, all of Nampa, and Kathy
and Tim Edwards of Idaho Falls; 10 great grandchildren; four
great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two
brothers and a grandson.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to noon
on Tuesday at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Nampa.
