A.L. Drake

    Services for A.L. Drake, 83, of 1103 Clark St., Nampa, who died Tuesday, Dec. 28, in a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with the Rev. LaMar Bollinger of the Church of the Brethren, officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  He was born June 16, 1889, at Nocona, Tex.  At the age of 9, he moved with his family to Meridian where they lived for two years before moving to the Lower Fairview Community where he was reared and educated.  In 1916 he moved to Bowmont.
    He married Mary Della Emmert Feb. 15, 1925, at Bowmont, where they farmed until he retired in 1963 and they moved into town.  He was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
    He is survived by his wife of Nampa; one daughter, Mrs. Dan (Shirley) Jacobsen, Nampa; three sisters, Mrs. Sudie Nelson, Nampa, Mrs. Hazel May, Dulzura, Calif., and Mrs. Vina Lowe, Mountain Home, Idaho; and two grandsons.
    He was preceded in death by one daughter, one granddaughter, two brothers and two sisters.
    Memorials may be made to the Church of the Brethren, a favorite charity, or flowers may be sent.
