Services for Alfred Orthello Costley, 73, of Homedale, who
died Friday evening in his home, were to be held in
Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel at 3:30 p.m. Today.
The Rev. Elmer Rosenkilde of Adrian, Ore., will officiate,
Silver City Masonic Lodge of Homedale will conduct interment
rites at Wilder.
Mr. Costley was born Nov. 13, 1890, in Salina, Kan.,
and moved by covered wagon with his parents when he was three
months old to Okeene, Okla.
He lived on a farm there until he married Jennie Pearl
Haldeman in May, 1914. They moved to a farm near Seiling,
Okla., in 1918 and to the present farm near Homedale in 1937.
He joined Seiling Lodge No. 495, AF&AM, in 1934 and he
was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Adrian.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Costley are a son, Ed Costley
of Aloha, Ore., and four grandchildren, Allen Costley of
Portland, Donald Costley of Adrian, Gary Costley of Homedale
and Mrs. Linda Price of Caldwell. |
