Succumbs Today

Andrew W. Kochis, a native of Hungary, died
this morning at his Parma home.
He was born Aug. 27, 1879 in Hungary, and came to
America while a young man. After working in the east, he
came to Malheur county, Ore., where he married Mary Vargo in
1913. Together they homesteaded a cattle ranch there.
Later they moved to Parma where he farmed until his health
failed.
Survivors include his wife, five sons, George, Wendell
and Anthony of Portland, Steve of Orange, N. J., and Fred of
Portland; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Carney of Boise and
Mrs. Margaret Spain of Glendale Calif.; one sister in Hungary,
and six grandchildren.
Services will be announced by Peckham-Dakan chapel. |
