Mrs. Alice Irene Jones, 34, of 604 E. Ash, died
yesterday in a local hospital during childbirth. An infant
daughter, Jaennie Day, also died at birth yesterday.
Mrs. Jones was born July 15, 1929, at Detroit, Mich.
She moved with her parents to Pettigrew, Ark., as a small
child. She was married to Oren G. Jones June 14, 1946, at
Huntville, Ark. They came to Idaho in 1947 and moved to
Caldwell in 1953.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and sang
in the Christian Church Choir. She worked in the Sunday
School Beginner's Department for several years.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are four
daughters, Evelyn Sue, Margaret An, Mary Lois and Nancy E.,
all at home; her father Oscar Perkins, Whorton, Ark.; two
sisters, Mrs. Betty Manning, Coeur D. Alene, and Mrs. Grace
Boyal, Aurora, Ark.; a brother, Bill Perkins, Alameda, Calif.,
and three half-sisters, Mrs. Hannah Goat, In California, Miss
Oshia Lee Perkins and Miss Patricia Perkins, both in Arkansas.
