Armando Cariaga, 43, of Nampa, died Wednesday, June 7,
1995, of injuries sustained in a one-car automobile accident
in Owyhee County. Vigil services will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, June 11, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 12, at
Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Father Henry
Carmona of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Nampa.
Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
Armando was born Mar. 17, 1952, in Harlingen, Texas, a
son of Alonzo and Guadalupe M. Lugo Cariaga. He moved with
his family to Nampa in 1963 where he attended Nampa schools,
graduating from N.H.S. in the Class of 1972. He then attended
M-K Trade School in Boise. He married Glenda Garza Oct. 21,
1973 and they made their home in Nampa. He was an auto
mechanic and operated the Pro-Mechanic Shop in Caldwell for
fourteen months until his death.
Armando enjoyed hunting and fishing, liked shooting and
working with guns of all tyes.
He was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son, Vicente Cariaga and one daughter,
Alicia Cariaga both of Nampa; his parents Alonzo and Guadalupe
Cariaga of Edinburg, Texas; six brothers, Alonzo Cariaga, Jr.,
of Oxnard, Calif., Arthur Cariaga of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico,
Alberto Cariaga of Boise, Alfredo Cariaga of Kansas City,
Kan., Lauro Cariaga of South Sioux City, Neb., and Nino
Cariaga, also of Oxnard; two sisters, Josephine Kerr of Myrtle
Beach, So. Carolina, Delma Cariaga of Edinburg, Texas; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
